Sharing remarkable NEW LIFE stories
Social Media
Facebook is certainly the best known social media and sharing site and every FGB Fellowship needs a presence here. In Southend we started with a Facebook Profile and built up a following of over 600 friends. Facebook Profiles are, however, strictly for individual real people and we were asked to change it into a Group Page which is what we now use. Whatever type of Facebook presence you opt for there are of course two key elements: audience development and content.
Getting people to follow you and to be your friends takes effort but over a period of time it can become a very effective means of communication along of course with your mailing list.
What you publish there is also important and here there are two basic types of post: factual information about your meetings and articles and graphics that are there to stimulate interest.
You may like to take a look at our Facebook group page which has some ideas that you might like to try.
